MISSION STATEMENT: The Interfaith Nutrition Network addresses the issues of hunger and homelessness on Long Island by providing food, shelter, long-term housing and supportive services in a dignified and respectful manner for those who seek our help. We are a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization with a dedicated staff, a broad base of community support and a commitment to educate the public about these issues.
Standard Funding and its personnel actively support The INN by volunteering in the soup kitchen, engaging in fundraising efforts and donating food and clothing to support the good works of The INN.
Most recently, on Tuesday, August 18th, 2009, Standard Funding sponsored a lunch at the Mary Brennan INN in Hempstead, NY, the largest soup kitchen on Long Island. At the soup kitchen, volunteers prepare and serve a hot lunch five days a week for 300-400 guests.
Standard Funding staff members joined the volunteers of the INN and helped serve lunch to over 430 guests.

MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Lupus Alliance is to provide support and education to better the quality of life for people with Lupus and their families, to promote awareness and understanding of Lupus to others and to support research that will improve the diagnosis and treatment of Lupus and ultimately discover its cause and cure.
In the summer of 2007, Standard Funding participated in a cell phone drive to raise money for the Lupus Alliance Long Island/Queens Affiliate. Through Standard Funding employees, their friends and families, over 70 phones were collected and donated to the Lupus Alliance. The Lupus Alliance uses the money generated from the sale of used cell phones to help fund their many programs and services that help adults and children with lupus and their families in the local area.
Standard Funding was also a sponsor for the annual Walk Along for Lupus, a 5km walk to promote awareness and provide support and financial aid to people with lupus and their families as well as funding for research.
Most recently in 2008, Christine Donato, the wife of Standard Funding’s Systems Administrator, Frank Donato, was honored by Lupus Alliance for her outstanding work in support of the organization.

MISSION STATEMENT: Bridges to Community, Inc. is a non-profit, community development organization which takes groups of volunteers to developing countries to work, learn and reflect. Through the process of living and working with local communities on construction, health and environmental projects, Bridges promotes cross-cultural learning, a deepening awareness of our global interdependence, and a commitment to the common good.
Standard Funding's President Angelo Mangia, first traveled to Nicaragua in 2004 with a group of fourteen U.S. business leaders to spend eight days building two cinderblock homes as part of a volunteer service project in Masaya, Nicaragua. Each of the business leaders contributed or raised at least $2,500, the cost of materials to build one home, and each person participated in every aspect of the construction, including preparing the home site, digging the foundation, mixing cement, laying the block and laying the tile floor.
The volunteers live in the village in which they are working, and most return to continue to assist Bridges in carrying out its mission. While Bridges' projects (particularly home-building) do not depend on these trips and are in fact ongoing throughout the year, they are dynamically enriched by the presence and support of volunteer groups. For it is in living and working together that people's lives are transformed.
Angelo has made a total of seven trips to Nicaragua to continue the work of Bridges, most recently in March 2010, and he intends to return in 2011.
